Our new home

Four days ago we sold our house that has been our home for the last 5 years. We had our babies in that house (not literally) and have some great memories. We left some of the best neighbors we have ever known, and my 8×4 strawberry bed. Gulp.
We moved 8 miles out of town. Not too far, but far enough. We bought a small farm home on 10 acres with a big red barn. It’s got a great kitchen, windows with views of pasture and lots of room to roam. It’s an answer to prayer and a dream come true. I’ve been dreaming of a home like this for a very long time.
There is already a garden, but the one in my head is much much bigger. It’s already got lots of stuff growing like apples, peaches, cherries, pears, blackberries. Oh, and a small strawberry bed.
Moving in this weekend has been surreal. We’ve been blessed with help from good friends and family. I’ve had a tear in my eye a few times just watching it all unfold, or unpack I should say. I have bruises all over my body, my muscles ache, but my heart is happy. Here are some photos from our weekend.
Joslyn is happy to finally open her birthday gifts. First with paper princess dolls.

Then making fondant covered cupcakes with her “Easy bake” microwave set.

We hung our flag on the pole and enjoyed the perfect weather. That’s the barn in the background. I can’t wait to have some dogs, chickens, cows and maybe even a horse in there.

Jude entertained himself with rocks, as usual.

I kept calling it his “rock baby”. Hehe.

Papa Dennis brought over a big wheel for the kids. It’s like a 4-wheeler trainer. I was kinda jealous. I sooooo want a 4- wheeler now.

Friends can over and they found a tree to climb.

We watched the Chiefs and ate chili. Perfect weekend!

More pictures of the house and farm to come soon! Right now it’s all here…..somewhere. I’ll dig out at some point!
