Aunt Pam

With all of the hustle and bustle of life, we’ve been busy this summer. Its been a weird summer- though. I mean we’ve done all the normal summer things, camping, swimming, grilling……. but its been a summer that has forced me to “put on my big girl panties” more times than I would prefer.

Maybe its just that season of life. Lots of change, lots of decisions to make. Trying to figure out where I’m headed. I have a list of goals about 10 pages long. I enjoy making the list, but checking things off seems foreign at this point.

How do people accomplish it all without going crazy??

I’m remembering a woman who seemed to do it all. My Aunt Pam. She was suddenly taken to be with the Lord almost 2 weeks ago. We already miss her deeply.

Here’s a picture of Aunt Pam with her daughter, Amanda.

She was a wife, mother, traveler, teacher, softball pitcher, gardener, dog trainer, marathon runner, bible study leader, and many other things. She was always admired by so many, including myself. She was in control, but she was also fun. :)

Recently I found comfort in this song that was a favorite of my Aunt Pam: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CSVqHcdhXQ&feature=list_related&playnext=1&list=AV4oVf-d_DwKDCIGIf8Ri4NE-9jfiELxTu so I’m sharing in case someone else would find comfort in this too.

Sorry for the random thoughts and word vomit. I know things will get back to “normal” after this rough patch. Its all in His plan, right?

I haven’t been home long enough to cook in a week. So maybe after we get through this hiccup called “the worst summer ever”, I’ll find some eggs or something and we’ll get crackin’.

To be continued…..
