Cabin fever, real fevers and the Groundhog’s report

Last Saturday our small town reported a sunny day with a high of 70 degrees. We went for a family bike ride, swung on swings, and ran errands with the windows down. It was awesome!

Then Tuesday we got a foot of snow. The whole town stayed home and baked cookies. I of course had to work (the ER doesn’t get snow days) and when I got off work last night it was -2 degrees outside.

Seriously?

Here’s a picture a friend of mine took: (Yes I’ve been too busy/lazy to take pictures)

During my short time of being snowed in, we got the opportunity to remodel our office. I did bake some Body-for-life banana bread (next post maybe?), and we all took care of Jude buddy who has been sick. Again.

Joslyn calls him Jude buddy. And sweetie sweets. Love that about her :)

We’ve been eating out of the pantry. Here’s some pictures of my weird children eating spaghetti and getting really messy.

I mean, I went to the grocery store before the storm hit, but so did everyone else in my town. They were sold out of bread, milk, eggs, tuna, cheetos…….essentials, really.

Oh, speaking of essentials. Justin found this food pyramid and thought that it fit his “unique” nutrient needs a little better.

LOL……I know several of you can relate to that one.

But the GOOD NEWS is: Yesterday was groundhog day, and we are supposed to have an early spring.

I’m really counting on an early spring this year. I would like to see Jude go a whole month without the need of prescription medication. And I really need spring because I just maybe have seeds bought and I’m antsy to get ‘em going. Just maybe.

Okay enough rambling for now. Back to sucking boogies, breathing treatments, and refilling the humidifiers.
