Last week we finished a project we’ve been putting off for over 2 years, the sunroom. When we moved in, we had many updates to do to our home. Most of which were just plain offensive to the eyes.
For example, remember the wallpaper in the formal dining room? Here, I’ll remind you. (You’ll have to look past the WoW party going on in the midst of some wallpaper hatred that took place the night before)
We conquered little projects here and there, but the sun room kept being looked over. And being its the first room you see when you come in (the back). I decided the 1970′s decor finally needed to go.
We were faced with floral paneling and maroon striped carpet. Here’s a picture of the paneling (and Justin posing to show off my flowers….lol)
And the carpet, I forgot to take an official “before” picture that morning. Here is after the workers started ripping it out.
As you can see the paneling issue had already been taken care of, now we just needed a new floor. Normally I would go for something meant for the long haul, but I was desperate! I would take ANYTHING over the carpet that was nicely stained and ripped and ugly!!!!
….and its just a sun room, right?
So we went with a vinyl from Joe’s. YEAH!
Here’s the final look:
…..and the dining room, want to see what ended up in there?
Yeah, I love home improvements! Hurray for equity!
