Ahh, the zoo. Where do I begin? Joslyn has been a zoo-aholic for the last year (and probably the next several years).
I used to push her around in the stroller and I didn’t even think she was paying attention. She would be fascinated with the fence or her sippy cup, but I never thought she was really noticing all the animals.
Oh how I was wrong. You see around the 15 month mark she really started talking. All of a sudden she knew ALL the animals. And what sound they make.
But if she doesn’t know the sound she just says, “Nay” or “Moo”.
Then we met the goats. Interesting enough they don’t scare her at all. But this picture is somewhat frightening.
The first time I let Joslyn near enough to feed a goat was at Exotic Animal Paradise. She thought it was the coolest thing EVER!
But I have to tell you that she never actually fed a goat. First she begs for goat “cookies”. If Joslyn is ever hungry she won’t say snack or eat, she just says “cookies”. As if she eats cookies for every meal of the day.
Sometimes she says “cookies” in the saddest/hungriest voice ever….. in her sleep.
Okay back to the goats. So she holds out the food, lets the goat get close enough to lick her hand with their hairy upper lip- then runs away squealing and laughing.
See the food still in her hand?
Lets just say it takes forever to feed the goats. Very fun and cheap entertainment in case you have nothing to do on Saturday.
