I’ve decided to have a frequently asked questions segment because so many of my friends and family ask me these questions on a regular basis.
Plus, I had no where else to share these adorable picture of Joslyn and Alizabeth. The intent was to take a picture of them wearing their matching princess shoes they got for early Christmas.
I love the picture progression. Its like I’ve interrupted their conversation and they are acting annoyed. (Where do they learn this?! I would have expected this at age 13, but at 1 ???)
“What, this new shirt you like?”
“Yeah, I like it too. I also like our matching pink sparkle shoes”
And here comes Mom to interrupt this important conversation to snap another picture. “Are you done yet?”
Joslyn: (long sigh) “We can’t get any privacy around here”
Alizabeth: “That flash is so bright, gee!”
And back to my question and answer for those who need to know! Oh, and when you figure out this whole blog thing, if you could snap pictures of your children sitting on ugly furniture, it would really make me feel better.
Q: How do I start a blog?
A: There are many sites to start blogs. I like blogger. You go to www.blogger.com and begin the steps. Whatever blog name you decide, the web address will be yourblogname.blogspot.com
Q: Does it cost?
A: Nope, absolutely free, all you need is internet access.
Q: Who can view my blog/can weirdos view my blog?
A: Anyone can view the blog if its public, but only select people can view it if its set to private. However, I think the private settings on blogger are difficult to use. That being said, someone can only know as much about you as you let them. So if you don’t want them knowing every detail of your life, don’t write it on your blog.
Q: How do I post pictures and keep my family update with the kids/dogs/our busy lives?
A: Blogger will show you everything once you start. There is also a very helpful “help” section too.
Q: How can I comment on other people’s blogs?
A: Some blogs require that you have a login to comment. On blogger you can choose how comments are made. On this site, anyone can comment.
Just click on the word comments at the end of a post, type in your response, and choose which type of person you are (Google/Blogger sign in, open ID, or you can just type in your name- or anonymous. Then hit publish your comment.
Sometimes you’ll see a box with scribbled words, and you just have to type the letters/numbers in the box below to prove that you are a human being at the computer and not a robot/virus sending spam comments.
Then hit publish your comment in the orange box. Yah! You did it!
If there’s anything I didn’t cover that you’re dying to know, just leave a comment for me. (Instructions above)
