About two years ago, every food blogger on the planet blogged about this amazing “No Knead Bread“. They went on and on, trying different variations and then had blog after blog about this amazing bread. Some even said its so easy their 4 year old can make it, then actually had their 4 year old make the bread for the blog. Incredible.
But not this blogger. NO NO. I was busy taking final exams and working every spare moment. The “no knead” phenomenon went on with out me. I didn’t even know what I had missed, except the ability to relate to ALL the blog entries about this amazingly easy, too good to be true bread that even 4 year olds can make.
Well this is the case no longer. I too can join in the no knead generation! Its only about a year late. I know, the trend has passed, and now only the un-cool kids are finally getting it. So call me un-cool. I don’t care. Then when you eat one of these rolls you might change your mind.
And they really are easy. Its just weird to think of a bread that doesn’t require kneading. I know, I wasn’t sure it could be done. But it can! These rolls are proof!
Head over to Pioneer Woman for the No Knead Roll recipe. I’m thinking about a cinnamon roll variation. Anyone with me?
Here’s some no knead variations too:
Nutella and roasted Hazelnut Challah
Sticky Pecan Rolls
English Muffin Bread
Pain au Levain
Whole Grain Baguette
Cranberry Walnut
Burger Buns
Multigrain loaf
Honey Whole Wheat
Sourdough
