Well last night I tried a new recipe. It is one of those out of Deceitfully Delicious, yeah the one by Jerry Seinfeld’s wife who is being sued for copyright infringement.
Anyway, I thought this cookbook was not only a great way to sneak veggies into kids foods, but I wanted to try to sneak some veggies into MY dinner as well! Lets admit something. Just because we’re adults doesn’t mean we always eat like one.
The verdict? Umm, maybe 2 stars. I do think it could have been better. More salt, olive oil, and garlic. The usual. But for having a serving of butternut squash and carrots in my spaghetti and meatballs (made with ground turkey), I’d say it wasn’t totally gross.
Sorry, not all trials are success stories. I do think, however, that this cookbook has some great ideas on how to sneak in an extra serving of fruits and veggies- no matter what your age.
ATTENTION: Speaking of trials, I would like to announce that a gal I know is in the Pillsbury bake offs, and is a finalist! So, should you decide to vote for a finalist, you could click here to vote for Allison. (I do recommend that you at least try the recipe before voting, but you could just vote too).
