Homemade Ginger Ale

This is a recipe from Nick. He’s been working on perfecting a Ginger Ale and Root Beer recipe for some time now, and he thinks he’s found a perfect Ginger Ale. If you’re looking for a Ginger Ale that tastes like Schweppes, you won’t find it here. This one has more of a ginger taste. Its really good and refreshing!

For the syrup:
2 c. sugar
2 c. sliced ginger (coin sized and 1/8″ thick)
2 c. water

Bring all ingredients to a boil over medium-high heat. Simmer for 5 minutes then let cool onn the stove. Once it is cool, strain ginger pieces with a sieve.

Mix 1/4 cup syrup with 1 cup club soda. Enjoy!
