Fast as a Jet Boil

Ahh, the Jet Boil. This is a must for lightweight campers and RV campers alike. In this day and age when we are only satisfied with the quick and easy, the Jet Boil comes to our rescue. It boils 2 cups of water in about 2 minutes.

Okay, have you ever tried to boil water over an open fire? I have, and let me tell you it takes a lot longer than 2 minutes. And by the time its boiling, the water has “floaties” that are near intolerable from the ashes.

Drawbacks from the Jet Boil include: difficulty getting the lower casing off in warm weather and near impossible in cold weather, and the fuel canisters are small enough to fit inside but not big enough to last a long weekend if you are using it to cook every meal with, plus drinking water. However, I’d still recommend the Jet Boil over any other stove on the market.

There is another attachment to the Jet Boil that is more for use as a saucepan. I haven’t tried it jet, but it looks nice. The cool thing about this technology is the heat distribution, there’s nothing else like it that I’m aware of.
