Camp Cooking

This weekend we went to Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas again. It was wonderful! Everything was so GREEN! We did a lot of hiking, I have a blister to prove it. And we did a lot of eating too!

Luckily, we brought the master grill chef with us, Dennis. He makes everything good on a grill, seriously. We go out to eat and order a steak, and then in the end we think to ourselves, this $20 steak wasn’t even as good as the ones Dennis makes.

The one staple food of the weekend was potatoes and onions. This dish encompasses both food principles I have been raised on, butter and onions. (see previous blog entry for details) These are still simmering, but mmm when they were done they were delicious!
